Dr. Haas and the New Detox Diet

Dr. Elson Haas is the famous author of The Detox Diet and The New Detox Diet.  The second title is a revised and updated version of the first book because the first one turned out to be so popular and in such high demand.  Detox diets are very popular these days and the new way for detox diets is the way of Dr. Haas; his belief is that a detox diet has to fit well into one’s life, that it has to change habits for good instead of denying people their favorite things for a few days and then sending them back to their old habits. 

This kind of extreme detox diet that only lasts for a few days and then leaves you to go right back to from where it was that you started is not the kind of detox diet that Dr. Haas advocates in his book.  His book is about the new way of detox dieting, according to him it’s the only way for detox diets to really be successful.

Uniqueness of This Diet

Dr. Haas is well aware that in the modern American’s diet there is an overwhelmingly high amount of chemicals and toxins to the human body.  From caffeine to refined sugar, all the way to aspartame and saccharin, Dr. Haas is out to make sure that these things get eliminated from one’s diet, and more importantly from one’s body, during the course of his new detox diet. 

The key to eliminating these unwanted substances from the body lies not so much in getting the stored chemicals and toxins out of one’s body by a severe elimination diet, but in slowly eliminating all of these things from the person’s diet.  The new detox diet consists of everyday foods and drinks that should be the basis of anyone’s diet that is looking to eliminate toxins from their body.

Rave reviews followed the publishing of his first detox diet book, and the second one has also followed suit since its release.  Readers of the book and participants in his program claim that the best thing about his diet is not that it works; they’re ecstatic that it works, but even happier that they can easily integrate it into their ‘real’ lives.  Too many programs don’t take real world men and women into account; the new detox diet is not one of those plans.  The book is infused with hundreds of recipes, made with everyday foods that will not require finding ingredients at six different shops and spending six hours a day cooking.  Now that’s a diet that’s useful!
